Tarik Skubal injury update: How long will the Tigers ace be out?
Tarik Skubal will not make his scheduled start on Monday.
Tarik Skubal had the Tigers concerned last week when he was seen rubbing his left arm during the seventh inning against the Braves, which drew a visit from the training staff. And now, it appears that the Tigers were right to be worried about the two-time Cy Young Award winner. Skubal was initially slated to make the start on Monday against the Red Sox , but according to MLB reporter Jon Heyman, the late scratch was seen as a precaution.
That was until Tigers manager A. J. Hinch announced that Skubal would undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his elbow.
