Arsenal handed double boost for Champions League semi-final second leg
Arsenal handed double boost for Champions League semi-final second leg Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard are both in the Arsenal squad for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid. Neither took part in the team training session in front of the media on Monday morning but boss Mikel Arteta says both will be available to feature. “Yeah, they are in the squad both of them,” he said.
“It’s great because we need options, the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether from the start or after so it’s really, really good news for us to have them both back. ” It comes as a huge boost for Arsenal, who were without the duo for Saturday’s win over Fulham. Odegaard was forced off in the first-leg draw with Atletico Madrid with a knee problem, while Havertz has been out since coming off in the win over Newcastle last month.
But Jurrien Timber remains sidelined for the clash. Arsenal are level at 1-1 from the first leg going into the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
