Auburn football's recent recruiting momentum continues as they make the top 10 for the nation's No. 5 offensive tackle from the 2027 class.
The Auburn Tigers ' momentum on the recruiting trail continues to grow as a top-15 offensive tackle from the 2027 recruiting cycle has included the Tigers in his top four. Layton von Brandt, a four-star offensive lineman from Middletown, Delaware, recently dropped his top four schools, which include the Auburn Tigers. Auburn is now in a fierce battle with SEC rival Florida, as well as Notre Dame and Penn State for the No.
1 player from Delaware, and the No. 5 offensive tackle from the cycle. The Appoquinimink High School product recently visited Auburn during the Tigers' spring session.
According to Corey Bender of Rivals , von Brandt connected well with new Auburn head coach Alex Golesh and complimented the facilities. However, Auburn appears to be low in the race for von Brandt, as a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports favors von Brant to sign with Notre Dame . However, von Brandt has not set an official commitment date and has not taken an official visit to Auburn.
