They have lost four of their last five games and dropped two out of three to the Chicago White Sox at home. San Diego's next two series are against the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals , but it gets much tougher after that.
That's why Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer predicts the NL West club will drop to fourth in the division by the end of May. "With four losses in five games, bad luck is already starting to catch up with them.
And it doesn't get easier any time soon," Rymer wrote Monday. "They have four series due up against winning clubs, plus two more against ostensible contenders in the Mariners and Phillies. " The Padres' schedule in May also includes three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers .
