Former Auburn guard Kaden Magwood finds new home with mid-major power
Former Auburn guard Kaden Magwood is the latest to find a new home out of the transfer portal.
One of Auburn basketball's earliest transfer portal entries has finally found a new home. Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that former Auburn guard Kaden Magwood has signed with Murray State out of the transfer portal after spending one season at Auburn. Magwood will join former Auburn head coach Tony Barbee at Murray State.
Barbee recently joined Murray State's program as the associate head coach and defensive coordinator. Magwood was the second Auburn Tiger to announce his plans to enter the transfer portal on April 8, following Filip Jovic. He appeared in 20 games for the Tigers and made two starts in his lone season on the Plains, where he averaged 3.
6 points in 10. 6 minutes per game. He scored a season-best 14 points in Auburn's NIT opener against South Alabama on March 17 after missing two months' worth of games.
His best regular-season performance took place in Auburn's win over Wofford on Nov. 11, when he scored nine points.
