'100% the right man' or 'time to change'? Fans split on Howe news

Yahoo Sports

Ewan: It has been a rough season, but factors outside of Howe's control have all contributed to this. David: I guess we have to give Howe the benefit of the doubt this season, which was unsettled from the start by the Alexander Isak debacle. All good things come to an end, and I think we've reached the end of the line with Howe, unfortunately.

[BBC] [Getty Images] We asked for your views on the news that Eddie Howe is set to lead Newcastle United into the 2026-27 season following constructive talks with the club's hierarchy. But is the 48-year-old the right person to move the Magpies forward? Here are some of your thoughts: Mike: Yes, he is.

The transfer mess last summer has had a big hangover this season, and that wasn't his fault. Hopefully, with the executive team now in place, we can have a better summer window and he can take us forward again. Ewan: It has been a rough season, but factors outside of Howe's control have all contributed to this.

I 100% think he is the right man to lead us forward and, with a proper team in place for recruitment this summer, the future is exciting! The players have to take some accountability for our poor form. All the points dropped from winning positions is what has cost us, that cannot continue next season.

Graeme: No, it's time to change. There are plenty of managers available, with no compensation or release fees, that would suit us. But I don't think we will twist and it will be the usual line this summer when no money is spent and Howe is told what to say.
