Five grim stats as Liverpool’s season hits new low: Worst set-piece record and no top-10 away wins Liverpool 's challenging campaign reached a new nadir this weekend after losing 3-2 at Manchester United. Arne Slot's side fell two goals behind inside the opening quarter of an hour, and despite rallying to level after half-time, Kobbie Mainoo's campaign condemned the Reds to another disappointing defeat. The pressure is on Slot, whose side have been a pale imitation of last season's Premier League winners.

"We have to work and turn this around and make sure that next season these things don't happen. It's not Liverpool. I think it's unacceptable that we have lost too many times as defending champions of the Premier League and we shouldn't accept it.
"There will be a lot of work that has to be done going into next season. When I am back from the World Cup I will go into it, but there is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes. " Following the club's latest loss, we've looked at some stats that make for grim reading.
