Despite this achievement, the German media persistently suggest that Vieira’s option to purchase will not be activated as planned. The German club currently sits eight points clear of relegation and has no immediate plans to activate the €22 million buyout option they agreed upon earlier this summer.

Vieira has been a constant source of confidence for HSV, with 12 goal contributions throughout the season. He’s scored or assisted against six of the Bundesliga's top-eight teams this year (Bayern Munich, Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, and Frankfurt), making him an attractive target. Despite the interest in Vieira, HSV remains at a disadvantage financially when it comes to activating the option.

Arsenal is likely better off taking Vieira back to their side, as his performance has shown no signs of slowing down in the Bundesliga.
