North Little Rock to The Show: Travelers alum Nick Davila records first career strikeout in MLB debut
Nick Davila made his MLB debut for the Seattle Mariners on Sunday, striking out All-Star slugger Bobby Witt Jr. in the ninth inning.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — One day after being called up by the Seattle Mariners, pitcher Nick Davila recorded a strikeout in his MLB debut Sunday. Davila had his contract selected by the Mariners on Saturday after his most recent appearance with the Travelers on Thursday in Wichita .

for his first career strikeout. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one batter in one inning. Davila, a Florida native, began his professional career in the Detroit Tigers system before signing with the Mariners in 2023.
