North Bay Assist Leader Heads To Lowell
After leading the Battalion in assists, Nicholas Wellenreiter commits to UMass Lowell, bringing an offensive spark to the rising River Hawks.
An important offensive contributor for the OHL's North Bay Battalion announced the next step in his career. Nicholas Wellenreiter announced his commitment to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Wellenreiter joined North Bay early last season from the BCHL's Coquitlam Express .
In his first full OHL campaign, Wellenreiter racked up 56 points (23 goals + 33 assists) through 68 outings. Those 33 helpers were first on the Battalion. Wellenreiter with the wow🤩 A clutch goal from the @OHLBattalion forward stood as the game winner and earned him @deltabingo_ Play of the Night honours!

Wellenreiter is more than likely play for the River Hawks this fall, based off an April 20th Instagram post saying "North Bay❤️. " He should bring an extra jolt of scoring to Lowell
