Notre Dame men's lacrosse earns No. 2 seed in 2026 NCAA Tournament
The Notre Dame men's lacrosse team fell short of being the No. 1 overall seed, while the Irish women's team makes their respective tournament as well.
Notre Dame men's lacrosse has earned the No. 2 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The Fighting Irish 's opponent is not set yet, as they will face either Jacksonville or Robert Morris.
The latter two teams will play in a first-round game in South Bend on Friday, May 8, with the winner drawing Notre Dame (10-2) Sunday, May 10 at noon. A 15-10 loss in the ACC Tournament semifinal to Virginia this past Friday cost Notre Dame the overall No. 1 seed.

That contest will be played on a neutral site, either on the campus of Hofstra or Delaware. The Final Four is being played on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The semifinal is schedule for Saturday, May 23, and the national championship on Memorial Day Monday, May 25.
