Jordan Wicks had a rough start in a rehab assignment. He took the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits over 3. 2 innings.
The positive news is that he struck out four and walked just one and 50 of his 75 pitches were strikes. The also-rehabbing Ethan Roberts threw the ninth inning without allowing a run or a hit. He issued a one out walk, but picked the runner off first.
Roberts did not strike anyone out. For the third-straight game, DH Kevin Alcántara homered. It was a solo home run in the eighth inning and was his league-leading 12th overall.
