The team nearly made it to the Super Bowl last year and there are no signs that the team will take a step back this year. The team will face a challenging schedule, but after retaining nearly every key player from last year's run, the Broncos are planning another deep run. How far the team goes will rest largely on the shoulders of quarterback Bo Nix.
The Broncos fell short of the Super Bowl last year in large part due to Nix suffering a broken ankle in the divisional round, rendering him unable to play in the AFC Championship Game. We remember how hard that game was to watch. The Broncos faced an upstart New England Patriots team that, much like the Broncos, was ahead of schedule by making it as far as they did.
The weather played a huge factor in the game and the Patriots were able to make a couple more plays than the Broncos, who had to roll with Jarrett Stidham at quarterback. I'm told the #Broncos are looking to bring in a veteran QB as a tryout player to rookie minicamp because they want a good arm to throw those 3 days to their rookies. Their three quarterbacks, Bo Nix, Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger, obviously aren't eligible for rookie minicamp.
