First came three-star Will Zaccagnino, a fast riser this spring, earlier in the week.
And on Friday, three-star defensive lineman David Hill committed to the program, picking Wisconsin over schools like Minnesota and Purdue. The Illinois native is a strong fit for the Badgers as a bigger-bodied defensive lineman, standing at 6’3, 300 pounds. He’s got the frame to grow into that nose tackle type of role for Wisconsin.
The Badgers need size with their new-look defensive lineman, and Hill has it, while also hailing from the Midwest. He’s also got a wrestling background, which has appealed to head coach Luke Fickell in the past as a former wrestler himself. Hill had 19 offers, including ones from Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Purdue, and others.
He’s slated to come to Madison on an official visit during the weekend of June 5th.
