Jesse Minter on Diego Pavia: He has an opportunity to prove himself

Yahoo Sports

Ravens coach Jesse Minter discusses undrafted QB Diego Pavia's opportunity at rookie minicamp and his impact at Vanderbilt.

Minter Sees Opportunity in Diego Pavia’s Path Opportunity, that's what rookie minicamp is built on. And for quarterback Diego Pavia, the Ravens are giving him exactly that: a shot to prove he belongs. Early on, Jesse Minter made it clear that, like every undrafted free agent, Pavia's focus right now is simple: learn fast and compete.

When asked about what Pavia brings to the table, Minter pointed to both his background and the mindset he's bringing into the building. “Diego [Pavia], just like a lot of the undrafted free agents, is trying to make his mark. And honestly, it's the first two days.

So, it's just so much learning, so much about just kind of getting acclimated to how we operate, getting acclimated, especially to a new offense for a quarterback's perspective. This guy, again, I know the program that he came from. I know a lot of people that worked with him.

Kind of what I think he is as a person is a really, really hard worker. I think he really helped elevate that program in the SEC by playing against really good competition. And so now he's in the door, and it's like, show us what you can do, let the chips fall where they may, and just like all the undrafted rookies, that's what I would say.
