Georgia softball to close second day of action vs LSU at SEC Tournament
Georgia softball (36-17, 12-12 SEC) has wrapped its regular season and will begin its postseason sprint with some conference action in Lexington, Ky. The Bulldogs earned the 9-seed in the SEC Tournament. They will be facing an 8-seeded LSU (37-16, 13-11) in the second round Wednesday, May 6.
First pitch is set for 8 p. m. at John Cropp Stadium.
It will be the final game of the second day. The tournament will be broadcast on the SEC Network through the quarterfinals. The semifinals and championship will be broadcast on ESPN.
The winner of the contest will advance to play top-seeded Oklahoma on Thursday, May 7 at 8 p. m. Georgia last played LSU on March 23, 2025, where they walked away with an 11-3 mercy-rule win in five innings.
