Some players were playing through some major injuries, and that includes forward Viktor Arvidsson, who missed Games 5 and 6 due to injuries, but was hoping to be available for a potential Game 7. On Sunday, Arvidsson’s injuries were revealed as he played through a punctured lung and a fractured rib.
“Viktor Arvidsson dealt with a fractured rib and punctured lung that held him out of Games 5 and 6. Was trying to get back for Game 7,” Connor Ryan of Boston. com reported on X .
Arvidsson trying to play through those injuries for Game 7, showed off his toughness and how badly he wanted to help the Bruins advance. However, the injuries were too serious for him to play, and he will now use the offseason to get healthy. Arvidsson was an impactful forward for Boston after the Bruins acquired him from the Edmonton Oilers for a fifth-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft.
