During his rookie minicamp press conference, Kansas City Chiefs DB Jadon Canady expressed position versatility in the secondary | @EdEastonJr

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Jadon Canady spoke with reporters at Saturday's press conference during this weekend's rookie minicamp. He described his versatility at any secondary position and his potential roles on special teams. "Just however (Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo) Coach Spags sees it or (Head) Coach (Andy) Reid," said Canady, "Personally, I'm comfortable at corner or being nickel, you know, but just seeing how Coach Spags and Coach Reid will use me this year.

" Across his five seasons in college, Canady logged more than 800 snaps as an outside corner, over 1,000 snaps in the slot, and roughly 550 combined at free safety. The experienced rookie also doesn't mind finding a significant role on special teams. "I played best at gunner or holdup, but I also played KOR (kickoff return) and kickoff if need be," said Canady, "Just my ability to hold up a gunner or to win at the line of scrimmage as a receiver is pretty elite.

" In 2025, Canady was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference and played in all 15 games, starting 13. He finished with 39 tackles, tackle for loss, 2 interceptions, 6 pass breakups, and a forced fumble.
