Premier League and WSL trophies coming to Guernsey

Islanders will have two free opportunities to see the silverware.

The trophies will be on display where a youth tournament is being held [PA Media] Two of the biggest prizes in English football will visit Guernsey later this month. The Premier League and Women's Super League trophies will be available to view at Barclays on St Julian's Avenue from 10:00 BST on 29 May. The following day it will be on display at a youth six-a-side football tournament, which is running from 09:30-16:30, at Victoria Park - the home of Guernsey FC.

Rob Jones, the director at Victoria Park, said he was "thrilled" by what he described as a "landmark event". More news stories for Guernsey Listen to the latest news for Guernsey Organisers said they were "delighted to be bringing... silverware to Guernsey", which they called a "once-in-a-lifetime experience for the local community".

The Premier League trophy was previously displayed in the island in 2015. Jones said it would be "a highlight of Guernsey's sporting calendar". He also said he "can't wait to host [the youth football] tournament while providing a unique chance for fans of all ages to grab their own small slice of football history".
