Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback commitment and five-star recruit Jared Curtis told Diego Pavia he'd win a national championship at Vanderbilt

Five-star Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback signee Jared Curtis has high expectations for his time at Vanderbilt. Curtis, who decommitted from the Georgia Bulldogs in December before signing with the Commodores, thinks he'll win a national championship at Vanderbilt. "I'm going to win the national championship that you couldn't win," Curtis said to former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, who revealed that Curtis told him this to the media at the NFL combine.

Curtis' confidence is echoed in his head coach. Clark Lea stunned the media when at the 2022 SEC media days, he said Vanderbilt will be the "best program in the country" despite the Commodores coming off a 2-10 season. Lea turned things around at Vanderbilt and the Commodores have back-to-back winning seasons.

In a recent ESPN article , Curtis revealed that Pavia played a big factor in his recruitment. Pavia attended one of Curtis' high school games. Curtis visited Vanderbilt for the Missouri game in October, which played a big role in him flipping his commitment from Georgia.

Curtis hasn't won the starting job at Vanderbilt yet. He's competing for the starting role with Blaze Berlowitz and others. The Commodores lost a lot of talent in the trenches and at skill positions from last season's 10-3 team that just missed out on the College Football Playoff.
