Former Washington Huskies star guard Elle Ladine was waived by the Seattle Storm following a brief preseason stint.

After signing a training camp deal with the Seattle Storm, former Washington Huskies star guard Elle Ladine was waived by the WNBA organization on Thursday ahead of the start of the regular season on Friday, May 8. Over the brief two-game preseason, Ladine played 11 minutes and posted a total of 4 points with a rebound and a steal in what was going to be an uphill battle for her to make the team after the Storm traded up in the WNBA draft to use the No. 8 overall pick on former LSU star guard Flau'jae Johnson.

After being named to the All-Big Ten Second Team following the 2024-25 season, where she averaged a career-high 17 points per game, she finished her four years on Montlake after averaging 11. 2 points, 4. 4 rebounds, and 1.

8 assists per contest, while her 166 three-pointers made placed her at No. 8 in school history. If Ladine is unable to catch on with a WNBA team by the start of the season, she could find herself playing overseas for her next home.
