Matt Blewett-Imagn Images Matt Blewett-Imagn Images The Avalanche’s full second-round schedule against the Minnesota Wild was rleased on Saturday, and it includes a rare three-day break between Games 2 and 3. The Avs host Minnesota on Sunday in the first game of the series. After that, the two teams will meet again Tuesday evening at Ball Arena for Game 2.

When that game is completed, it’ll be nearly four full days before the puck drops for Game 3 on Saturday in Minnesota. It will be every other day for as long as the series goes from that point on. Colorado was the No.

1 seed in the Western Conference and swept the Los Angeles Kings in four games. After the Minnesota Wild eliminated the Dallas Stars in six games, it became more realistic that the series would start Sunday rather than Monday. When the Avalanche take the ice on Sunday night, it’ll have been a full week since they defeated the Kings in Game 4.
