Florida State is favored to land 2027 three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis, and they're continuing to push hard for his commitment.

Florida State wants more talent in the trenches on the defensive side of the ball to go along with blue-chip edge Anthony Cavallaro in the 2027 recruiting cycle. One of their top targets is three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis out of Kissimmee, Florida. The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder has around 30 offers to choose from.

He mentioned recently the two programs that are setting the pace in his recruitment. "Florida State and Syracuse really taking a big jump in my recruitment right now," Lewis told Noles247 . "They're recruiting me hardest.

" FSU didn't offer Lewis until February. However, he took unofficial visits to see them in March and April. In that short amount of time, the Seminoles have impressed the Osceola High School star.

"I just really like the coaching staff, the guys that they produce," said Lewis. "They get a freshman All-American almost every year and I trust that Mike Norvell and [defensive line] coach [ Terrance Knighton] T-Knight can get that job done for me. " He's the nation's No.
