Many draft experts expected Simpson to be drafted toward the end of the first round, so it was a shock to a lot of NFL analysts that the Rams took him early.
But it wasn’t a shock to the Rams and Simpson, who admitted that he and the team had talked about them drafting him early. The Dolphins cut their starting quarterback and later signed Malik Willis, but it’s still interesting to hear they might have taken another quarterback.
