Jack Miller says quitting on Yamaha’s V4 bike is not an option, and Fabio Quartararo should listen

Quartararo, who is not only the most recent world champion but also the face of Yamaha’s MotoGP campaign, has been more vocal about his frustrations lately as the team continues to struggle at the bottom of the standings. Although a move to Honda is expected at season’s end, there are still 18 race weekends left for Quartararo before that switch happens.
The Frenchman has admitted that motivation has been hard to come by because of how poorly Yamaha’s new V4 bike has performed. But checking out mentally before offering support isn’t likely to do him any favours in the long run. Miller doesn’t think there are any standout features yet, telling Speedweek: “Every area needs work. If the bike does something well, it doesn’t do other things so well. ” Still, he pointed out that the bike is still early in its development, adding: “The bike is only six or eight months old, so still very new.
“We’re still gathering data and trying to understand where its strengths and weaknesses lie, but I can’t say at the moment that it’s truly outstanding in any area. ” “It’s frustrating, absolutely,” he continued. “You work hard all week, the entire off-season, and set goals that you know are difficult to achieve.
“But what can you do? Go home? That’s not an option.
