Report: Panthers great Luke Kuechly being eyed for big TV job
According to The Athletic, CBS is eyeing Panthers legend Luke Kuechly for a big opening.
Carolina Panthers legend Luke Kuechly might be back in your living room on Sundays. According to The Athletic , CBS has eyed Kuechly for a spot on their in-season pre-game show, "The NFL Today. " Per senior writer Andrew Marchand, the network has shown interest in the franchise great and Pro Football Hall of Famer—who has worked the last few years as a radio analyst for the Panthers.
The seat on the weekly program—which is positioned alongside host James Brown and analysts Nate Burelson and Bill Cowher—was left vacant by the departure of former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. Ryan was hired as the Falcons' president of football in January. Marchand also notes that CBS is in "deep discussions" with free-agent quarterback Russell Wilson, who seems to be the frontrunner for the gig.
