Max Eberl not worried about losing Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer on free transfer

But that’s okay, there’s no bad blood, no resentment, just two different viewpoints. We just have to see if we can find common ground,” Eberl said (as captured by Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch via @iMiaSanMia ). Eberl did some fine dancing around that topic, but his next statement was a little more ominous.

When asked if Laimer has to extend or the club would lose him on a free transfer, Eberl indicated that the team was not worried about the potential of taking a financial hit: “He came here on a free, so we wouldn’t lose much. ” Laimer’s situation will be a key one to watch, but these negotiations looks like they will go on for a while.
