Los Angeles returned the majority of its roster and added stars like Kyle Tucker and Edwin Díaz over the offseason, so there is a real chance the Dodgers could win a third straight title in October.
If that is the case, Rojas wants to be there to help the Dodgers chase after a fourth consecutive championship. “I started thinking about, ‘You know what, this is a real possibility of making a deep run and winning another championship,’” Rojas said, per Rosenthal. “And then what’s gonna happen?

He said he still feels like he can play multiple more seasons but he wants to be able to spend more time with his family.
“When I made this decision to retire and play for one more year, it’s not because I felt I couldn’t play. I can still play,” Rojas said. “I can prepare to go and play shortstop for 100 games.
