The Minnesota Twins are once again one of the worst teams in baseball this season, and should likely be sellers at the trade deadline.

After a fire sale last season, this year might be another similar sell-off for Minnesota. They're not going to contend right away, and it would make sense to recoup some value for a few of their veterans. MLB.

com's Mark Feinsand shared that of 20 polled MLB executives, three predicted that the Twins would finally wind up trading Joe Ryan, their All-Star ace, at the deadline. Twins predicted to finally trade Joe Ryan "It seemed like [Ryan] was someone that they were considering trading last year," one AL executive told Feinsand. "They're looking like they'll be in a similar spot this year.

" The Twins trading Ryan would make a lot of sense. He's a free agent after the 2027 MLB season, and the Twins won't be able to get a better return for him than they will at this year's deadline. Similar to how they got a strong return in the Jhoan Duran trade with the Philadelphia Phillies , trading a starter like Ryan is sure to draw a hefty price tag.
