Heidenheim simply wanted it more and the performances showed that. Despite the result, Bayern will head into the Champions League semi finals with all the reason to be optimistic.

Leon Goretzka leaves on a good note The veteran midfielder has had an absolute rollercoaster of an experience in Munich. Love him or hate him, he has always given his best for the club. Today he was massively important for Bayern and this will likely be one of the last times we see him on the pitch for the club.

Thank you for everything Leon. Bara Sapoko Ndiaye is not first team quality…yet In a match against the bottom team in the league, it was the perfect time to rotate. Vincent Kompany had all the reason to give some guys their shot and he took that opportunity by starting Ndiaye.
