UFC Perth Highlights! Prates Chops Down JDM With Violent TKO Performance

Della Maddalena was making his first Octagon appearance since losing his 170-pound title to Islam Makhachev back at UFC 322 and was hoping to start 2026 off with a bang. Unfortunately for JDM and the Australian crowd, Prates never allowed the former champion to get going. The Brazilian striker was too effective on the feet early on for Della Maddalena to do much of anything.
Della Maddalena certainly tried to get his licks, but Prates’ leg kicks and knees inside were too much to handle. Eventually, JDM started folding whenever Prates landed a leg kick. Prates wanted to finish the fight on the feet, but with Della Maddelana hitting the mat it provided “Nightmare” the opportunity to land heavy ground-and-pound and elbows en route to a vicious TKO finish.
