The San Francisco 49ers ' offseason hasn't been quiet. They've strived to address their needs at wide receiver, offensive line and defensive edge with draft selections and free agent signings. And did.
During the 2026 NFL Draft in April, the 49ers had eight draft picks and split them up evenly – half offensive selections, half defense. They selected offensive skill players such as receiver De'Zhaun Stribling and running back Kaelon Black. They also looked for projects to improve their protection with versatile tackles Enrique Cruz Jr.
and Carver Willis. Defensively, they added defensive back Ephesians Prysock, defensive lineman Gracen Halton, linebackers Jaden Dugger and Romello Height, who can also play edge. But that was just the draft.
The Niners have been making deals since the season ended in February. In one, the Cowboys agreed to trade defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to the 49ers in exchange for a third-round draft pick on March 11, giving San Francisco needed presence at the line, on the inside. But the Niners didn't stop making calls in March.
