King is a 23-year old shortstop in the Nats' system, a 2024 first-round pick out of Wake Forest. He's rising fast through the minor leagues, playing about as well as he ever has since being drafted.

In 89 at bats, he already has seven doubles, one triple and four home runs. He's driven in 20 runs and scored 22 times. He also has three stolen bases, and he's got a relatively positive 24 strikeouts to 17 walks ratio.
