Spring practice is over for the Oregon football team. Though coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks closed every practice to media and outsiders throughout March and April, the Ducks' spring game April 25 offered a glimpse at how UO could look heading into 2026 . With the roster set and the transfer portal window concluded, here's The Register-Guard's attempt at projecting Oregon's depth chart for 2026.
Quarterback Starter: Dante Moore (rJr. ) Backups: Brock Thomas (rJr. ), Dylan Raiola (Jr.
), Akili Smith Jr. (rFr. ) Not much debate about this one.
Dante Moore is a presumed first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft and is the Ducks ' unquestioned starter for the 2026 season. Behind him, Eugene native Brock Thomas was his primary backup in 2025, ahead of several higher-rated QBs coming out of high school. Coveted Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola is also waiting in the wings for his shot to start for the Ducks when Moore moves on.
