Hamburg women's team player leaves hospital after on-field collapse

Hamburg SV defender Magou Doucouré has been given the all-clear following her on-pitch collapse. "Positive news from Magou Doucouré to start the day. The examinations at UKE Hamburg (hospital) went well and she has already been back home since last night," the women's Bundesliga club wrote on Instagram on Saturday.

Doucouré also commented in an Instagram post. "Thank you all for your messages, your support and your sympathy. I am doing well.

After the game I received medical care and everything is normal again and under control. I will take time to recover and I will be back very soon," she wrote. After the final whistle of Friday's Bundesliga match against Union Berlin, the French player collapsed on the pitch and was then taken to hospital.

Hamburg lost the match 1-0 and are still in relegation danger.
