Ronda Rousey says she’s looking out for Kayla Harrison, calls her ‘brat little sister’

Fallon / AFP via Getty Images Ronda Rousey has addressed her ‘complicated’ history with Kayla Harrison, a story that goes back long before either of them stepped into the MMA cage. The two first met on the Judo mats in 2005, and their paths have crossed in interesting ways ever since.
Both found success in Judo before making the move to mixed martial arts, where they built reputations as elite fighters. Despite the similarities in their backgrounds, there’s never been much warmth between them. That divide became clearer after Harrison publicly questioned Rousey’s decision to return for another fight.

Stop biting my f—— hand.
Like, I’m trying to help you out, man… But she’s kind of like my brat little sister in a way where I’m just like, don’t come for me. Okay? Momma’s working.
I’m going to have to give you a learning if you’re going to want to f—— start some s—,” Rousey said. Harrison didn’t shy away from the challenge. When asked about Rousey’s words during a press conference for her upcoming fight, she said she wouldn’t mind being on the receiving end of that lesson.
