Rafael Alves delivered one of the slickest submissions we’ve seen in a long time earlier tonight (Fri. , May 1, 2026) at Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA from Miami, Fla. , stopping veteran fighter Anthony Njokuani with a rare hammerlock.
Tonight’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event was LIVE and FREE on YouTube so fight fans could enjoy the action without shelling out any cash. For those who tuned in to the undercard they witnessed one of rarest submissions in MMA. It took Alves just a few moments to earn a slamming takedown and right into back control.
Instead of grabbing a hold of Njokuani’s neck, Alves locked up his arm and started to stretch it behind his back. It resembled a chicken wing, but is more commonly known as a hammerlock. Njokuani eventually tapped out with only 31 seconds off the clock.
