Brewers flame-thrower Jacob Misiorowski exits with hamstring cramp

Brewers flame-thrower Jacob Misiorowski entered the sixth inning of his start against the Washington Nationals on May 1 with a no-hitter intact, but he left with a trainer. Misiorowski exited the game at Nationals Park in Washhington mid-at-bat after getting the first out of the sixth, leaving with what the Brewers called a right hamstring cramp. It's the second consecutive day a Brewers starter left the game early.

Brandon Woodruff exited his start April 30 in the second inning and was placed on the injured list 24 hours later with shoulder inflammation. After throwing a pitch to James Wood, Misiorowski was visited by manager Pat Murphy and head athletic trainer Brad Epstein on the mound and, after a short conversation, pulled in favor of Aaron Ashby. The no-hitter made it through the sixth and ended with one out in the seventh with a double by Daylen Lile.

The Brewers were still ahead after the seventh, 4-1. After walking Brady House with one out in the second inning, Misiorowski retired the next 11 batters and seemingly became more dominant with each passing inning. He struck out the side in the fifth on 11 pitches and needed only six pitches to strike out his last two, still clocking as high as 101.

5 miles per hour with his fastball. He made it four straight strikeouts by getting Jacob Young looking to start the bottom of the sixth, then got ahead of Wood, 0-1, with a 98. 9 mph fastball when he gestured to the Milwaukee dugout in an apparent show of discomfort.
