DORAL — The PGA Tour's return to Trump National Doral means the return of President Donald Trump to a PGA Tour event, and the first time he will get a chance to admire his new statue. The president is expected to be at Doral this weekend and appear at the Cadillac Championship on Sunday, May 3 during the final round. The Cadillac Championship is the first PGA Tour event at one of Trump's courses since the WGC-Cadillac Championship in 2016, also at Doral.
Temporary flight restrictions show Trump arriving in Miami at 6:30 p. m. on Saturday, May 2 and departing at 8:30 p.
m. May 3. Trump typically stays at his resort when in the Miami area.
That resort is where a 15-foot statue of Trump — dubbed the "Don Colossus" — was recently brought in. The 3. 1-ton bronze statue covered in golf leaf sits on the property just off the walkway between the first tee and driving range.
