In a vote that ended May 1, Cincinnati. com readers selected the 2025-2026 Cincinnati Enquirer/Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Athletes of the Week from high school sports action through April 26. Winners can print their certificates from this week starting Monday and other weeks now using this Drop Box link .

Ohio small-school baseball team: Norwood โNorwood went 3-0 on the week and is riding a five-game win streak, having outscored opponents 65-8 in that span. Northern Kentucky/Indiana baseball team: Conner โ Conner went 3-0 for the week, sweeping Cooper and beating Simon Kenton 10-5. Ohio big-school softball team: Mason โ A four-win week for the Comets continues a six-game winning streak.
Ohio small-school softball team: Batavia โ Batavia ended the week with an 11-1 win at Blanchester and a 4-2 win over Hillsboro. Northern Kentucky/Indiana softball team: Notre Dame Academy โ The Pandas had a three-win week, outscoring Dayton, Holy Cross and Scott by a combined 40-1 margin. Boys spring team: Fenwick volleyball โ The Falcons beat Carroll and Badin to improve to 8-0 in the Greater Catholic League-Coed, clinching at least a share of the conference title.
