Two weeks ago, USC picked up a commitment from four-star edge rusher Mekai Brown. The Connecticut native is one of the top recruits at his position in the class of 2027. So what made Brown choose USC?
In a recent interview with 247Sports , Brown discussed his decision to pick the Trojans . “I think the culture, the position coach [Shaun Nua], the coaching staff, the players, it's just been so great every time I've been there,” Brown said. “All positive interactions and I am going to a place where not only I think they can develop me on the field but off the field as a student and a man.
“I like the way I can be utilized within this defense. I think they will be able to maximize me. I think I bring a very good combination of speed and power.
It's my game. I can also be [a] finesse player. “I think putting me on the other side of formations will just be a disaster for the other team.
