This isn't exactly what fans will want to hear on their first-round pick.

Seahawks' plan for 1st-round RB Jadarian Price is disappointing originally appeared on The Sporting News . Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The Seattle Seahawks came into the 2026 NFL Draft with a few clear needs at cornerback, edge rusher, and running back.

Offensive guard was also a need. In Round 1, instead of trading down as was the rumors leading up to the draft, the Seahawks took Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd pick. It was a mild surprise, as it was an aggressive solution to their RB need.

However, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler , the Seahawks have a bit of a disappointing plan for their new first-round running back. Instead of using him as the bell cow back, Price is going to split time in the Seahawks' backfield. Jadarian Price won't be a bell cow for Seahawks "The sense in Seattle is that first-round tailback Jadarian Price (Notre Dame) won't have to be a bell cow right away," Fowler writes.

While this report from Fowler doesn't completely shut down the idea of Price becoming the bell cow back in the Seahawks offense, it does put a damper on such hopes for him right away. Whether it's Seahawks fans hoping for the offense to heavily use their new first-round running back, or Fantasy Football managers, hearing that Price might not be the bell cow despite the lackluster room is a bit disappointing.
