Ducks baseball could go into SEC country in latest tourney projection
The Oregon Ducks are projected to head for Mississippi State in the latest NCAA baseball tournament prediction.
If the latest college baseball tournament projections come to fruition, the Oregon Ducks are about to receive a prescription for more cowbell. D1Baseball. com doesn't have the Ducks ( 33-11, 15-6 Big Ten ) hosting at PK Park; it's a regional where they could have a lot of success and move on.
In the most recent projection, the Ducks will be flying into SEC country and participating in the Starkville, Miss. Regional as the No. 2 seed.
Keep in mind this is only a projection, and there's plenty of baseball left to be played. Just because the Ducks aren't projected to host, they have a lot of opportunities to change that with several wins in the future, including series with two other Big Ten teams who should also be in the post-season. But for now, Mississippi State, the host school, is currently 35-10 overall and 13-8 in SEC action.
But the Bulldogs go to No. 4 Texas this weekend, where things could definitely change. Along with the Bulldogs and Ducks , Oklahoma State and Wright State would also be in the regional.
