He capped off that stretch by winning his first title since 2024 at the Barcelona Open. The Frenchman now finds himself in the Madrid Open semifinals, set to face world number one Jannik Sinner. Lately, Fils has been talked about as someone who could break through the grip Carlos Alcaraz and Sinner have had on men’s tennis.
