Boston is set to host the Buffalo Sabres at home on Friday night in Game 6. The Bruins forced a Game 6 with a road win in Game 5, and now the team is looking to take it to a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday. Although the Bruins are trailing in the series, star defenseman Charlie McAvoy said the team has full confidence they won’t just win on Friday, but will win the series.
“I think our team’s resilience has been huge all year,” McAvoy said pregame on Friday. “We compete, we have each other’s back, we just all pull the rope in the same direction. This group really has a lot of love.
“I think we have a lot to be excited about, a lot of confidence to have in our game and an opportunity to come back and play in front of our fans tonight. Try to win a game and keep this thing going. ” Alex Steeves, Mikey Eyssimont, and Henri Jokiharju will remain in the lineup for the Bruins after all three brought energy into the lineup in Game 5.
