Former Steelers QB Russell Wilson eyeing career change
Former Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Russell Wilson is reportedly moving into a broadcasting role with CBS.
For one season, the Pittsburgh Steelers thought quarterback Russell Wilson was the answer to the team's quarterback woes. However, after missing a the start of the season, Wilson came out and underwhelmed and failed to get the Steelers over the hump in playoff wins. Now, according to a report from The Athletic, Wilson is looking to transition to broadcasting with CBS as the potential lead option.
If Wilson transitions to broadcasting, he would join former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. Tomlin stepped down as the Steelers head coach at the end of the season and NBC recently announced he would be joining their Football Night in America broadcast team. The Steelers signed Wilson in the 2024 offseason along with Justin Fields.
