Elite 2027 corner to take an official visit with Texas Longhorns
Cornerback John Meredith III gives the Longhorns a reason to celebrate. The 2027 recruit will take an official visit to Austin.
As theย Longhorns ย look to add to their 2027 class, they received encouraging news on the recruiting front on Wednesday. Five-star recruit John Meredith III committed to an official visit with the Longhorns . The North Cowley High star will be in Austin June sixth through the seventh.
That will give head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff another chance to show Meredith what his future at Texas could hold. While Sarkisian will get a chance to make his pitch, Texas isn't the only school Meredith has his eyes on. He also has official visits set up with Texas A&M and Ohio State in June.

Currently, the Texas native is ranked by 247Sports as the top cornerback from the Lone Star State. They also rank him as the fifth-best player at his position in the nation. Adding Meredith to the mix would give the Longhorns 2027 class a massive boost.
