Here we go again . Tim Elliott is fighting Steve Erceg in a flyweight showdown scheduled for the UFC Perth main card on Sat. (May 2, 2026) at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia.
Odds opened back on April 22 with Erceg the moneyline favorite at -285 against +245 for Elliott. At one point, “Astro Boy” ballooned as high as -600 but money has recently “flooded in” on Elliott. There’s an outside chance that Erceg’s skyrocketing odds was a result of head-fake betting, which happens when sneaky bettors place wagers on the opposite side of their intended position to manipulate betting lines.
Or, something else is happening behind the scenes, which has been a recurring issue for UFC over the last several months and even led to the cancelation of select fights . In less than a week, Erceg went from a -600 favorite all the way down to -170, with more than 91% of the sharp or professional wagers placed on the underdog Elliott, who now stands at +145, according to BetOnline. ag .
