Oregon Ducks dominate early wave of 2027 NFL mock drafts

Yahoo Sports

In the first wave of 2027 NFL mock drafts, the Oregon Ducks have been dominant, with as many as seven different players getting first-round attention.

In the week after the NFL draft, it has become customary for the entire football world to quickly put aside what just happened and look instead to the future. This means that in the days following the 2026 draft over the weekend, we have seen an onslaught of 2027 mock drafts, predicting which college stars of today are going to be NFL stars of tomorrow. It appears that a lot of those stars happen to reside in Eugene, Oregon.

Whichever way you look, it's impossible to find a mock draft that doesn't have at least a couple of Oregon Ducks landing in the first round next year, with guys like Dante Moore, A'Mauri Washington, and Jamari Johnson getting a lot of early attention. This caught our eye and led me to conduct a bit of research. For this project, I went through five 2027 mock drafts — ESPN, The Athletic, CBS Sports, Tankathon, and Todd McShay — and kept track of how many different Ducks were mentioned in the first round, how high or low they were predicted to be selected, and what the highest number of Ducks in a single round was.

Here's what I found: A total of seven Oregon players were mentioned as first-round players. Two of those seven players were selected in all five mock drafts used for this project. The highest any Oregon player was selected was No.

2 overall (Dante Moore, twice). The highest number of Ducks in a single mock draft was five (program record is two). Let's take a look at the Ducks who could potentially hear their names called.
