The middleweight champion will headline the event with his first title defence against Sean Strickland. As the favourite for that contest, ‘Borz’ remains focused on the immediate challenge.
However, his ambitions extend beyond the Octagon and into other potential matchups. While Strickland represents the current target, Chimaev has now revealed interest in facing another outspoken figure. This time, though, the proposed fight would take place under different rules.

His comments outlined a willingness to step outside his usual environment. He said: “We’d just box.
12 rounds. Maybe, if Zuffa gives the chance to box Conor and Conor wants to accept that, it would be nice. ” “Conor is a good boxer, one of the best boxers in the UFC so it would be nice to try.
And it would be good money too. He talks better than Sean Strickland, so it would be fun. ” The proposal adds an interesting dynamic given Chimaev’s skill set.
